    A Message from the President

    Dear NCIAAI Members and Colleagues,

It is an honor and a privilege to address you as the incoming President of the North Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this organization and its members, and I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to strengthen our chapter and advance the profession of fire investigation throughout North Carolina.

As President, my goal is to build upon the strong foundation established by those who have served before me. I believe our Chapter's success depends on providing meaningful training and educational opportunities, strengthening professional relationships, and encouraging greater participation from our membership. We will continue working to expand access to quality fire investigation training in North Carolina, build upon our established conference offerings, and pursue opportunities to bring nationally recognized programs to our state, including the IAAI's Fundamentals of Fire Investigation.

Equally important is the involvement of our members. Our association is strongest when members take an active role, contribute their experience, serve on committees, attend training, and step forward to pursue leadership positions. I encourage each of you to become involved, share your ideas, and help shape the future of NCIAAI. Whether you are an experienced investigator or just beginning your career, your participation and perspective are valuable to this organization.

I look forward to working with our officers, Board of Directors, committee members, instructors, and general membership to make the coming year productive and successful. Together, we can continue to promote excellence in fire investigation, support the professional development of our members, and strengthen the relationships that make our association such a valuable resource.

Thank you for your continued support of NCIAAI and for the important work you do every day. I am proud to serve as your President and look forward to what we will accomplish together.

    Respectfully,

    Patrick J. Barker, IAAI-CFI
    President
North Carolina Chapter, International Association of Arson Investigators
